Washington, DC – Yesterday, Congressman Mark Alford (MO-04) assumed the role of Chairman of the Small Business Caucus, succeeding Congressman Kevin Hern (OK-01). Rep. Hern, along with Chris Pappas (NH-01), had been leading the caucus since 2021.
Rep. Alford has been proactive in small business matters during the 118th Congress, successfully steering two pieces of legislation through the House of Representatives. The bills include the SBA Rural Performance Report Act and the Successful Entrepreneurship for Reservists and Veterans (SERV) Act.
In a statement, Congressman Alford expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, saying, "I am proud to take over as the Chairman of the Small Business Caucus for my friend and mentor, Congressman Kevin Hern (OK-01). Entrepreneurship and small businesses are the lifeblood of America. It is through groups like the Small Business Caucus that Congress can workshop and pursue policies that will ensure the safety and prosperity of Main Street America."
