Lake Regional Health System announced on March 31 that Andrew Sickbert, M.D., has joined Lake Regional Clinic – Lebanon at 755 Cowan Drive. Dr. Sickbert is board certified in internal medicine and will provide care for adult patients.

The addition of Dr. Sickbert to the clinic aims to expand access to health care for adults in the community, with a focus on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of various health conditions.

As an internist, Dr. Sickbert’s clinical interests include chronic disease management, preventive care, and overall wellness. He said he emphasizes building long-term relationships with his patients. “I have a passion for science and learning,” Dr. Sickbert said. “I always wanted a career where I could help people, meet new individuals and build meaningful relationships.”

Dr. Sickbert grew up in Santa Claus, Indiana, which he says helps him understand the unique needs of rural communities like Lebanon. “I grew up in a rural community much like Lebanon, so I can relate to the health challenges these communities face,” he said. “I strive to be understanding, non-judgmental and to truly listen to my patients. My goal is to provide the best health care possible for each individual I serve.”

He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Sickbert has experience conducting research that includes publications in peer-reviewed medical journals as well as presentations at national and regional conferences.
