Former Potosi High School standout Ryker Walton competed for the Austin Peay Governors as they were edged out 7-6 by the Utah Tech Trailblazers in an NCAA Division I baseball matchup held Saturday, March 7, at 2:05 p.m.
The contest was played at Bruce Hurst Field and marked the Governors’ fourth meeting with Utah Tech this season. Austin Peay had secured a 7-4 win in their previous matchup on Friday, March 6.
Walton pitched two innings, allowing two earned runs and recording two walks.
The Governors are set to play again Tuesday, March 10, at 1:05 p.m., facing the Ohio Bobcats at Joe Maynard Field at Raymond C. Hand Park.
