Lake Regional Health System has announced the addition of Olivia L. Sieve, D.O., to its team as a hospitalist. In this role, Dr. Sieve will be responsible for caring for patients during their hospital stays.

Dr. Sieve began her career in health care as a certified nursing assistant in a long-term care facility. She said that while the clinical environment confirmed her interest in medicine, she found that connecting with people was most important to her.

“My philosophy regarding medical practice is quite simple,” Dr. Sieve said. “I believe great health care is dependent upon a team with the patient at the center. As a physician, my role is to listen, educate, encourage and provide the resources needed to support whole-body wellness as it is uniquely defined by each patient. By providing care in this way, I hope to inspire patients to take control of their health and pursue the life they want to live.”

Dr. Sieve received her medical degree from Kansas City University. She has worked in various care settings, including acute care and senior living communities, and is particularly interested in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and patient education.
