Lake Regional Health System announced on March 31 that Julia Ansari, M.D., a cardiologist specializing in interventional cardiology, has joined Lake Regional Heart and Vascular to enhance access to advanced heart care for patients in the region.

Ansari’s arrival is significant as it brings expanded expertise in minimally invasive, catheter-based treatments for cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart attacks, and blocked arteries. Her clinical focus includes diagnostic cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and stent placement aimed at improving patient outcomes and reducing recovery times.

“I am passionate about helping patients navigate complex heart conditions and improving their quality of life through advanced, evidence-based care,” Dr. Ansari said. “Interventional cardiology allows me to make an immediate and meaningful impact during critical moments.”

According to Lake Regional Health System, Ansari is dedicated to providing patient-centered care by educating patients about their conditions and treatment options while working with them on personalized plans. Ansari earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada before completing an internal medicine residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. She pursued fellowships in general cardiology and interventional cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston as well as advanced structural heart training in San Diego.

She holds board certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology along with additional certifications in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, vascular interpretation; she is also active within several professional organizations contributing research publications nationally.
