In a significant development for healthcare in mid-Missouri, Lake Regional Health System has announced its integration into the Mayo Clinic Care Network. This collaboration grants the hospital access to Mayo Clinic’s clinical, educational, and operational resources.

The Mayo Clinic Care Network is a collective of independent healthcare organizations with access to Mayo Clinic’s expertise. It includes over 60 hospitals worldwide. Kevin McRoberts, CEO of Lake Regional Health System, emphasized that this partnership aligns with their mission to provide exceptional care and offers patients access to advanced treatment options locally.

Patients will not incur additional costs when providers utilize the network’s resources. These include AskMayoExpert for medical references, eConsults for specialist input, eBoards for case discussions via video conference, and health care consulting programs.

Mark Larson from the Mayo Clinic Care Network praised Lake Regional’s commitment to quality care after a year-long evaluation of its practices. McRoberts highlighted that joining the network marks a new era in regional healthcare by enhancing current services and building future capabilities.

Lake Regional Health System is a nonprofit offering comprehensive services across mid-Missouri, including specialized centers for stroke and heart attack care. More information can be found at lakeregional.com.
