Lake Regional Health System has partnered with the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO) to provide free breast cancer screenings for eligible women. This initiative allows uninsured or underinsured women to access mammogram screening services at no cost, using vouchers provided by BCFO.

Both Lake Regional Imaging Center in Osage Beach and Lake Regional Radiology – Lebanon Campus are now accepting these vouchers. Brenda Parker, assistant manager of Lake Regional Radiology – Lebanon Campus, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “We are excited to partner with the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks to ensure breast cancer screening is affordable for women. Screening is critical for early detection and saving lives.”

To apply for a voucher, individuals must complete the “Free Screening Mammogram Application” available on bcfo.org. Approved applicants will receive their vouchers by mail from BCFO. Once a voucher is obtained, appointments can be scheduled by calling Lake Regional Imaging Center at 573-348-6161 or Lake Regional Radiology – Lebanon Campus at 417-532-4251. It is important to mention the voucher when scheduling and bring it to the appointment.

For any inquiries regarding the application process, contact BCFO at 417-862-3838.

The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks has been offering various resources related to breast cancer since 2000. Their services include emotional support through mentoring and support groups, as well as direct financial assistance for those undergoing active treatment for breast cancer. Additionally, BCFO provides community education and free screening mammograms aimed at improving early diagnosis rates.

Lake Regional Health System serves residents and visitors throughout mid-Missouri as a nonprofit organization offering comprehensive health care services. The hospital functions as a Level II Stroke Center, Level II STEMI (heart attack) Center, and Level III Trauma Center while providing specialties such as cancer care, heart care, orthopedics, and women’s health. They also operate primary care clinics, Express Care clinics, rehab therapy clinics, home health programs, hospice services, and retail pharmacies.
