Lake Regional Health System has announced its decision to phase out operations for Lake Regional Home Health. This move comes after careful consideration, with the organization outlining a plan to ensure a smooth transition for both patients and staff members.

The gradual transition is designed to minimize disruption for patients. Starting March 1, Lake Regional Home Health will cease accepting new patients, with services expected to conclude by April 26. The end date could be sooner, contingent on patient numbers and staff availability. Should any patients remain in care on the final day, Lake Regional intends to collaborate with local agencies to transfer their care smoothly.

Additionally, support measures are in place for affected team members. “HR is having one-on-one meetings to help these team members explore their options,” including opportunities within Lake Regional for those interested.
