Lake Regional Skilled Nursing Facility has received a five-star overall rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), marking the highest distinction available. The facility also earned a five-star quality rating, which highlights its patient outcomes and focus on patient-centered care.

The CMS evaluates nursing facilities based on health inspections, staffing levels, and quality measures. These quality measures include hospital readmissions and patients’ ability to improve function and return home safely. The CMS rating system is designed to help families and caregivers compare nursing facilities across the country.

“Earning multiple five-star ratings reflects the dedication and teamwork of our entire Skilled Nursing team,” said Cherilyn Sisson, R.N., BSN, director of Post-Acute Care at Lake Regional. “Our team is focused every day on delivering compassionate, high-quality care, and the top-quality rating shows that our patients truly benefit from those efforts.”

Lake Regional Skilled Nursing is located within the hospital and offers intermediate, transitional, and subacute specialized nursing care. Patients have access to personalized therapy programs aimed at restoring function, achieving independence, and improving their quality of life through rehabilitation therapies.

“Our patients frequently tell us they felt cared for like family during their stay,” Sisson said. “It’s incredibly rewarding to help patients regain strength and confidence and to see their pride as they reach important rehabilitation milestones. That’s what motivates our team and reinforces why this work matters.”
