84 percent of applicants to Missouri University of Science and Technology were admitted for fall 2018

At Missouri University of Science and Technology, 94 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 76 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Rolla enrolled 8,601 students in fall 2018, including 6,843 in undergraduate and 1,758 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

83 percent of undergraduates are residents of Missouri, and 15 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (81 percent) and Asian (4 percent).

The school admitted 84 percent of the 4,332 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 36 percent enrolled.
