Update:
The male person of interest in this case, was located in South Carolina on 05/08/2022, at approximately 2200 hours. Local authorities confirmed the male subject as deceased. All next of kin have been notified.
This investigation continues.
ORIGINAL RELEASE:
On 05/08/2022, at approximately 1215 hours, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies and Military Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Officials were dispatched to the 23000 block of Skyview Drive, for a well being check of a female.
Initial reports advised the Reporting Party had concerns for a female subject and wanted law enforcement to ensure she was safe.
Upon arrival, Deputies were unable to make contact with the female, and due to the circumstances, made entry into the residence through an open window.
The female was located in an upstairs bedroom, deceased.
A male person of interest has been identified, but not located, and suspected to have fled the immediate area.
At this time, this investigation is ongoing, and has been turned over to CID. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department will continue to assist in the investigation.
No further information is being released, nor are the parties being identified at this time. All media inquires shall be referred to Fort Leonard Wood CID.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department would like to express there is no reason to believe there is any immediate danger to the public, and this is believed to be an isolated event.
