Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges for Kansas City Man

Camdenton, MO, 05-31-22 – On Sunday morning, 05-29-22, Camden County deputies conducted a traffic stop for a licensing violation near the intersection of Bittersweet Rd and Horseshoe Bend Parkway.

Deputies identified the driver as Tyler J Burrow, 29, of Kansas City, MO and determined his driver’s license to be limited due to a previous DWI arrest.  Deputies also detected the odor of marijuana inside the vehicle.  When asked about the marijuana, Burrow identified himself as a Kansas City firefighter and told the investigating deputy he should let him go and forget about it.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, deputies located a significant amount of controlled substances including approximately 60 grams of marijuana, several THC oil cartridges, .5 grams of cocaine, .5 grams of methamphetamine, .5 grams of powdered heroin, and 17 pills containing powdered heroin.

Burrow is charged with four counts of the Class D Felony of Possession of Controlled Substance and one Class D Misdemeanor of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Burrow was booked into the Camden County Adult Detention Facility where he posted a $50,000 bond.

A reminder that these charges are merely allegations of wrongdoing.  All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
