4.6% of citizens unemployed in Morgan County in 2021

Morgan County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 365 people out of the 20,883 living in Morgan County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Morgan County has increased compared to the 4.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Morgan County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 7,543 people who had a job during that time, 15 were employed in the Armed Forces and 7,528 belonged to the civilian labor force.
