Congressman Alford, expressing disappointment in the recent court ruling on dicamba, emphasized the importance of growers having access to vital crop protection tools. He urged the EPA to appeal the decision promptly to ensure farmers can continue to use dicamba. Congressman Davis echoed this sentiment, highlighting the necessity of dicamba for cotton and soybean farmers in North Carolina.

The bipartisan letter, co-signed by 32 representatives, called for the EPA to appeal the court's decision and seek a stay of the ruling. It emphasized the impact of the ruling on farmers across the country, stating, "It is estimated that more than 50 million acres of dicamba-tolerant soybean and cotton will be planted this growing season."

Missouri Soybean Association President, Renee Fordyce, expressed gratitude for the EPA's existing stocks order, providing certainty to farmers for the current season. Fordyce urged the EPA to appeal the District Court's decision to protect farmers.

Austin Littleton of the Cotton Producers of Missouri also appreciated the existing stocks order but emphasized the need for longer-term certainty for farmers. Littleton commended Representatives Alford and Davis for their efforts in addressing the issue and echoed the call for an immediate appeal to Administrator Regan.

In response to media inquiries, Rep. Alford's office directed inquiries to Austin Higginbotham at Austin.Higginbotham@mail.house.gov.
