Earlier today, Congressman Alford (MO-04) spearheaded a letter to President Biden from five of his Missouri colleagues, expressing concern over the transportation of illegal aliens from the border to various cities across America. This news was first reported by the Washington Examiner.
The letter posed several questions regarding procedures in place to track foreign aliens admitted through the CHNV parole program. Specifically, it requested information about those who were flown into Kansas City International Airport in February 2023 and St. Louis Lambert International Airport in April 2023.
In addition, the delegation asked whether any more potential beneficiaries of the CHNV parole program had been flown into Missouri after August 2023. They also requested documentation on determining an individual's eligibility for CHNV parole and details about plans to ensure that foreign aliens admitted through this program are returned to their home countries.
The representatives sought information on individuals granted entry to the United States through the CHNV parole program currently residing in Missouri. They also asked for documentation outlining a "case-by-case basis" for each foreign national admitted via this program on the aforementioned flights.
The letter was co-signed by Representatives J. Smith, S. Graves, Luetkemeyer, Wagner, and Burlison.
Congressman Mark Alford issued a statement saying: “This Administration’s open border policies have transformed every American community into a border community. Despite allowing over 10 million illegal crossings at our southern border, the President is still finding new ways to bring foreign nationals into our country. President Biden has ignored the rule of law and allowed almost half a million individuals to fly directly into the United States."
He added that they now have details on where these foreign nationals were placed, including Kansas City and St. Louis, thanks to a subpoena from the House Committee on Homeland Security. He stated that he and other Missouri House Republicans are demanding answers about unvetted migrants being flown into their state.
