Today, Congressman Mark Alford of Missouri introduced House Resolution 129. This resolution celebrates former President Donald J. Trump's decision to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America. Additionally, it supports Trump's designation of February 9, 2025, as "Gulf of America Day."
"We’re proud to introduce a resolution recognizing President Trump’s steadfast leadership in renaming the Gulf of America," stated Congressman Alford. "This move is just one of many by our President that reasserts American strength and puts our interests first. This resolution celebrates this historic action by President Trump and provides Congressional support for his designation of February 9th as Gulf of America Day. It’s an honor to stand with President Trump by acknowledging this consequential achievement."
