Lake Regional Health System conducted its 16th Annual Fun Run on May 3 at the Osage Beach hospital campus. This year's event, supporting Lake Regional heart care services, kicked off with an Honor Walk, highlighting graduates from their Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program. Participants then competed in 5K and 10K races.
The overall 5K winners were Nigher Alfaro, who finished the men's race in 22:31.48, and Kathryn Brandon, who completed the women's race in 30:11.06. In the 10K, Andrew Leiker secured first place in the men's division with a time of 47:51.92, while Emma Heskett topped the women's division at 56:36.46.
“These individuals inspire us all,” Lake Regional's director of development, Stephanie Dehner, expressed gratitude by saying, “Thank you to our volunteers, sponsors and fundraisers, as well as everyone who ran or walked. All of you are helping Lake Regional meet our mission to provide exceptional health care.”

In the 5K men's division, the winners were Aidan Bethurem (29 and under), Adam Ilgen (30-49), Nigher Alfaro (50-64), and Larry Howard (65 and above). The 5K women's division saw victories by Kathryn Brandon (29 and under), Kerrie Riker-Keller (30-49), Renee Vandiver (50-64), and Cheryl Billick (65 and above).
In the 10K men's division, Clint Mills (29 and under), Andrew Leiker (30-49), and Rick Francis (65 and above) claimed first place in their respective age groups. Winners in the 10K women's division included Emma Heskett (29 and under), Robyn Davidson (30-49), and April Leonard (50-64).
