Lake Regional Hospice is inviting the community to participate in a Memorial Butterfly Release event. The gathering will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, at Osage Beach City Park's Pond Pavilion, located at 950 Hatchery Road.

The event aims to provide a meaningful way for people to remember and honor their loved ones. Participants will have the opportunity to share stories and reflect on the impact their loved ones had on their lives.

Open to everyone, regardless of whether their loved one received hospice care, the event will feature music, poetry, reflections, a remembrance reading of names, a benediction, and a butterfly release. Attendees are encouraged to bring photos of their loved ones. Light refreshments will be available.

“It’s a chance to come together with others who empathize with what you’ve experienced," said April Jeffries, BSN, R.N., CHPN, manager of Lake Regional Hospice. "Come alone, with family or with friends. Children are welcome.”

Supporters can donate through lakeregional.com/Memorial or by texting butterfly2025 to 91999. Donations of $25 or more may include a loved one's name in the program if received by Thursday, August 28.

Lake Regional Hospice offers specialized care for individuals at the end of life, helping them spend their final days at home surrounded by family and expert caregivers.
