For the ninth consecutive year, Lake Regional Health System’s Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs have received certification from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). This recognition highlights the health system’s ongoing efforts to maintain high standards in patient care.

AACVPR certification is given to programs that meet strict criteria, including following established guidelines and using performance measures based on outcomes. Certified programs are considered leaders in providing advanced, evidence-based care.

“Certification reflects our team’s ongoing dedication to delivering superior care and helping patients achieve life-changing results,” said Jody Corpe, M.S., E.P., Cardiopulmonary Rehab manager. “Every day, our team works together to improve our program and the care we provide. I am so proud of their hard work and commitment to one another, to Lake Regional, and most importantly, to our patients.”

Cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services are intended for patients recovering from heart or lung conditions. These programs can help reduce symptoms, improve quality of life, increase strength, and support better management of chronic diseases.

Lake Regional also provides the Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at its Eldon, Laurie, and Osage Beach locations. This Medicare-approved program focuses on lifestyle changes through healthy eating habits, regular exercise routines, and stress management education. The goal is to help patients make lasting improvements in their health.

“Our team will design an exercise plan just for you and show you how to exercise safely,” Corpe said. “Paired with education on nutrition and stress management, the Pritikin program provides patients with the tools they need to live healthier, stronger lives.”
