Lake Regional Health System has announced the promotion of two nursing professionals to leadership roles. Sarah Green, MSN-NA, R.N., CPAN, NEA-BC, has been appointed associate vice president of Nursing. Green joined the organization in September 2022 as director of Peri-Operative Services, where she managed several departments including the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Operating Room. In her new position, Green will oversee nursing operations throughout the health system.
“Sarah has demonstrated a consistent commitment to patient-centered care and nursing excellence,” said Melissa Hunter, R.N., MSN, chief nursing officer/chief operating officer. “Her leadership will help ensure Lake Regional continues to advance quality and safety while supporting our outstanding nursing team.”
Green is originally from Hays, Kansas, and earned her nursing degree from Fort Hays State University. She previously held leadership positions at Hays Medical Center before relocating to Osage Beach in 2022.
Chelsea Candee, R.N., CCRN, has been promoted to Emergency Department director. Candee previously served as assistant manager of Lake Regional’s Emergency Department and worked as an ICU nurse. She is recognized for her clinical skills and focus on staff development.
“Chelsea is a respected leader among her peers and is passionate about providing exceptional emergency care,” Hunter said. “Her leadership will strengthen our Emergency Department, which serves patients from across the region every day.”
Candee received her nursing degree from Columbia College and joined Lake Regional in March 2017 after working at hospitals in Rolla and Lebanon.
“Lake Regional congratulates Sarah and Chelsea on their well-earned promotions,” Hunter said. “We look forward to their continued positive influence on patient care and the nursing profession.”
