Lake Regional Health System has published its Fiscal Year 2025 Annual Report, titled “Currents,” which covers achievements and developments from May 2024 through April 2025. The report emphasizes the organization’s ongoing efforts to deliver quality health care in the mid-Missouri region.

“Everything we accomplish begins and ends with our people — the dedicated team members who bring our mission to life every day,” said Lake Regional CEO Kevin McRoberts, FACHE. “Their purpose-driven work fuels our progress, from advancing safety and quality to expanding services. Together, we’re improving lives.”

Throughout the year, Lake Regional received several national recognitions for its focus on patient care and safety. These included a 4-Star Patient Satisfaction Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Laboratory Services in July 2024, and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award in July 2024. In September 2024, Lake Regional was recertified as a Level III Trauma Center. In January 2025, it earned both The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval and the American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark for Primary Stroke Center Recertification.

The report notes that Lake Regional is among the largest employers in its area with about 1,280 full-time equivalent employees. Salaries and wages paid during FY 2025 exceeded $120 million, not including benefits.

As a nonprofit organization, Lake Regional reinvested $34.7 million into community benefits during FY 2025. This figure includes charity care at cost, health screenings and education programs for the community, charitable contributions, as well as $17.4 million paid in taxes such as payroll, unemployment, and real estate taxes.

The Lake Regional Hospital Auxiliary also played a significant role by raising $62,824 to support hospital initiatives during FY 2025. Its members volunteered over 13,195 hours throughout the year and managed scholarships for employees pursuing or advancing nursing careers.
