U.S. Congressman Mark Alford (MO-04) issued a statement following the Missouri Supreme Court's decision to keep Amendment 3 on the November ballot.
"Amendment 3 is a radical proposal that goes far beyond abortion," Alford stated. "The Progressive Democrat tricksters pushing this measure completely misled the public about the real truth of Amendment 3 and the staggering scope of laws it would invalidate."
Alford expressed his disappointment with the court's ruling, emphasizing its implications for voters and constitutional integrity. "We cannot allow organizations to mislead voters like this, and today’s decision allowing Amendment 3 to remain on the ballot is a profound disappointment. It’s a loss for our Constitution, a loss for the people of Missouri, and a loss for Life."
Reaffirming his commitment to his constituents, Alford added, "As the Congressman for Missouri’s Fourth District, I’m committed to fighting for every constituent – born and unborn. We believe in life affirming care for the mother and the baby that God is growing inside of her."
