Health Inspector – Full or Part Time
The Miller County Health Center is seeking candidates for a full or part-time Health Inspector, also known as an Environmental Public Health Specialist.
This local governmental position’s responsibilities include on-site sewage permitting, inspections of new and failing systems, inspections of food service (restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, food trucks, etc.), including festivals and other events with food, daycares, and lodging.
The number of days per month and hours of the day is negotiable. Working hours will be primarily M-F, 8 to 4:00, and will require some rare non-traditional hours (Saturdays, Holidays) for festivals, fairs, other events, and public health emergencies.

A Bachelor of Science is preferred, but not required with adequate experience. Experience in food sanitation (kitchen management, food production, etc.), sewage/solid waste disposal, and most public health backgrounds will be considered.
